Just A Thought looks to have got in lightly on handicap debut in the 3.50 at Warwick today and rates the standout bet on the card.
Rebecca Curtis’s mare was a useful bumper performer, winning twice and finishing third to Cap Soleil – who is now rated 137 over hurdles – in a listed contest at Sandown.
The selection has gone on to run well to make the frame in four starts over the obstcales, including when a 5 length runner-up to the now 135-rated Station Master at this venue.
She also ran well last time out when third of 14 at Newbury, finishing just 1 1/2 lengths behind the 125-rated runner-up.
Judged on those efforts a mark of 117 looks lenient and Just A Thought appeals as the type that should have more to offer now going down the handicap route.
