Kasbah wasn’t seen to best effect last time out but is undoubtedly well-treated well-treated at present and looks worth siding at 8/1 in the 8.00 at Chelmsford today.
Amanda Perrett’s five-year-old was last successful at Lingfield back in June off a mark of 92 and he backed that up with an excellent nose second to Zac Brown at the same venue off 97.
He also ran very well two starts later when a 1 3/4 length fourth of 12 to Hakam off 99, racing wide and getting outpaced slightly before being unable to find any extra close home.
Kasbah is now able to race in this off 90 and that makes him a big contender on the pick of his form.
Altough only fourth to Kachy last time out at Lingfield, I didn’t think he was given the best of rides by Joey Haynes and he had previously run well to finish second and third.
Those runs suggested his time is near and with Jack Mitchell, who has been placed six times on him and steered him to his last success, back in the saddle he can bounce back and make his presence felt in this.
Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts each-way Kasbah (8/1 generally available – use BOG firms)
