King’s Pavilion is on a handy mark at present and makes plenty of appeal at 7/1 in the 3.40 at Carlisle today.
The gelding won a class 2 handicap at Epsom 15 months ago off a mark of 88 when trained by Mark Johnston and backed that up with a solid third off 93 in the same grade at Sandown.
King’s Pavilion also shaped really well on debut for new handler David Barron when a two lengtn fifth of 10 to George William at Nottingham off 86 in a race which has worked out well.
Although then disappointing next time up he quickly bounced back to form following a break when a cracking head second to Carnageo in the Carlisle Bell over course and distance off his current mark of 85.
He then finsihed a solid fourth at Ayr prior to dossapointing last time out at Thirsk but a reproduction of his run inm the Carlisle Bell would give him every chance at the weights of landing the spoils in this.
Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts win King’s Paviliion (7/1 BetVictor, Betfred, Boylesports, Paddy Power – BOG)
