Kings Temptation ran a blinder when runner-up last time out and rates a solid bet at 4/1 to go one better and land the 4.50 at Exeter today.
Ben Case’s five-year-old posted a much improved effort when stepped up in trip on handicap debut when a 1/2 length second of nine to Lime Street at Uttoexter.
After being bumped two out when challenging, and making a mistake at the last, he stayed on well until being held close home.
The winner was heavily backed and has since gone on to finish runner-up twice off marks of 105 and 108.
It gives the form a solid look as the pair pulled 20 lengths clear of the third home.
Given that they met on level terms it makes a 9lb rise to 104 for Kings Temptation look fair.
He should be more than capable of winning races at this level if building on his latest effort and this looks a good opportunity for him to open his account.
Daily Sport recommended bet: 3pts win Kings Temptation (4/1 generally available – use BOG firms)
