In the 2.30 at Pontefract today, Life For Rent has plenty going for him and looks worth a punt at 4/1.
Tim Easterby’s charge got off the mark in a class 5 handicap at Ripon last September when scoring gamely by a neck off a mark of 66.
He got put up to 69 for that and ran well off it on seasonal reapperance when a promising third of 10 at Ripon on soft ground which was far from ideal.
Life For Rent faild to build on that in his next two starts but there was much more to like about his lastest effort when fourth of 9 to Quaside at Haydock.
He showed plenty of pace to chaes the leaders and held every chance at the furlong marker until being found short of room inside the last and weakening late on to be beaten 3 3/4 lengths.
Life For Rent has since been dropped 3ln and is now able to race off 65 – lb lower than when notchhing his aforementioned sole success.
It gives him a big shout from a handicapping perspective if building on his latest effort for a yard that continues to bang in the winners.
