Marmajuke Bay runs Haydock well and looks decent value at 11/1 in the 4.35 there today.
Mark Usher’s charge has run three times at the Merseyside venue, winning twice and finishing third on the other occasion.
Both his successes have come over this afternoon’s trip and in the last of those three starts back he made all and drew clear inside the final furlong to score by 2 1/2 lengths off a mark of 84.
He was then far from disgraced when fourth at Ascot off 88 before running below par last time out when seventh at Nottingham.
Marmajuke Bay looks just the type to bounce back now returned to this venue and havibng been dropped 1lb is running off just 3lb higher (87) than when scoring impressively here in June.
He has also won four times and been placed on three occasions over the trip and if allowed an easy lead could prove a tough nut to crack at his favourite stomping ground.
Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts each-way Marmajuke Bay (11/1 Coral – BOG)
