Mayflair caught the eye last time out and makes plenty of appeal at 10/1 on handicap debut in the 2.50 at Wolverhampton today now stepped up in trip.
Jonathan Portman’s filly has had three quick starts to get a mark and posted an improved efforr on the last of those at Kempton 26 days ago when staying on well from off the pace to finbish a never nearer 3 1/4 length third of 14 to Dream Of Paris over 1m at Kempton.
She was doing all her best work at the finish and the second home Driver’s Girl, who finished 1 3/4 lengths in front of her, has since come out and bolted up at Chelmsford by 9 lengths to give the form a boost.
Judged on that run Mayflair looks sure to appreciate the extra two furlongs in this and an opening mark of 67 looks exploitable.
The three-year-old looks to have been brought along with handicaps in mind and her yard have a strike rate of 23.53% at the track in the past 12 months.
Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts each-way Mayflair (10/1 Betfred, BetVictor, Stan James, William Hill – BOG)
