Mcdelta has caught the eye in both starts this season and looks decent each-way value at 18/1 in the 5.20 at Newbury today.
The seven-year-old scored twice back in 2013, with the last of thsoe succeses coming atEpsom off a mark of 67.
He went on to finish runner-up off 74 and after several spells on the sidelines ended a losing run when landing a 1m contest at Carlisle 12 months ago off 57.
McDelta is now able to race off just 3lb higher (60) and comes ito the contest having shaped well in two starts at Kempton when thrid and fifth and doing his best work at the finish.
Those runs suggest he is coming to the boil and he now gets refitted with the cheekpieces which he has worn when scoring in the past.
The stable have also had a couple of welcome winners and several run well to be placed in recent weeks so there is lots to suggest that McDelta can go well in this off what looks a handy mark judged on the pick of his form.
Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts each-way McDelta (18/1 Ladbrokes – BOG)
