Miss Joeking scored in good style last time out and looks worth siding with at 11/4 to follow-up in the 3.50 at Uttoxeter today.

Lucinda Russell’s filly shaped with promsie in a couple of bumper runs but has taken time to find her feet over hurdles.

However, there was much more to like about her penultimate outing at Hexham last month when plugging on to finish a 7 3/4 length third of five to Touch Of Steel on handicap debut at Hexham off an opening mark of 83.

The winner has since gone on to finish a solid third off 92 and the second home Destiny Awaits won next time up and is now rated 97.

That gave the form a solid look and Miss Joeking duly took advanatge of what looked a handy mark of 83 to open her account at Hexham 16 days ago.

After making headway to lead two from home she overcame a horrific mistake at the last and found plenty on the run-in to gamely beat Gunner Lindley by 1/2 a length.

Although now 10lb higher in the weights, Miss Joeking would have won far more easily but for the blunder and remains well-treated judge on her previous effort.

She also looks the type who has plenty more to offer, and hails from a yard in good form.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts win Miss Joeking (11/4 generally available – use BOG firms)
