The lightly-raced and unexposed Orby’s Man could well have got in lightly on handicap debut in the 2.40 at Towcester today and gets the max bet treatment at 4/1.

The gelding won his sole start in an Irish point at Ballinboola, and the race has a decent look to it as the second, third and fifth have all since won under rules.

Indeed, the fifth home was Blaklion who is unbeaten in four starts since joing Nigel Twiston-Davies and is now officially rated 145 after his success in a grade 2 contest at Chepstow last time out.

Orby’s Man joined the Charlie Longsdon yard after that success, and after showing promsie in two bumper runs had little difficulty landing the odds on his hurdles debut when beating Zafraban by 4 1/2 lengths at Worcester.

The five-year-old backed that up with a solid fourth of 8 to Fort Worth in what looked a decent 2m 4f novice hurdle contest at Wetherby, leading for most of the way before being headed two out and being unable to find an extra on the run-in to be beaten 8 lengths.

Orby’s Man has been allotted an opening mark of 116 on the back of that effort, and that looks very exploitable given his unexposed profile.

The step up to 2m 5f on this stiff track should also suit given that his point win came over 3m, and he rates the standout bet on the card.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 10pts win Orby’s Man (4/1 BetVictor – BOG)
