Penny Pot Lane looks nicely treated on the pick of her form and worth a wager at 11/2 in the 2.50 at Carlisle today.
Richard Whittaker’s filly was last successful at Ripon lats August when showing plenty of pace and running on strongly to score by 3/4 of a length off a mark of 64.
She backed that up with a solid second pover course and distance to Kenny The Captain whenbeing head close home and beaten just 1/2 a length off 67.
Penny Pot Lane was also far from disgraced when seventh of 17 in a class 3 contest at Nottingham off 71 and is now able to race in this class 4 affair, the same grade as when last successful, off 68.
It gives her every chance at the weights and she looks sure to strip much fitter for a recent outing at Doncaster.
She has also been placed twice in three runs over course and distance and with Franny Norton in the saddle everything looks in place for a big run.
Daily Sport recommended bet: 3pts win Penny Pot Lane (11/2 generally available – use BOG firms)
