Former European Tour winners Justin Pipe and Steve Beaton were amongst the 18 UK Qualifiers for September’s Dutch Darts Masters at last night’s knockout at the Barnsley Metrodome.
Pipe overcame Lee Bryant and Ryan Palmer with a pair of 6-1 victories as he secured his spot in Maastricht from September 1-3, where he will compete in the next PDC European Tour event.
Former German Darts Masters winner Steve Beaton saw off Devon Petersen and Wayne Jones with a brace of 6-3 scorelines as he joined Pipe amongst the UK Qualifiers.
John Henderson and Jamie Lewis, both former European Tour finalists, also secured places in the event, alongside former World Championship finalist Kirk Shepherd and 2015 World Youth Championship runner-up Nathan Aspinall.
James Wilson defeated Steve Hine and Scott Taylor as he qualified, while Darren Webster whitewashed Paul Nicholson in his decider to secure his spot.
Australia’s Kyle Anderson edged a pair of 11-leg encounters as he saw off Jonathan Worsley and Paul Rowley on the night, while Steve West went all the way to a deciding leg against David Pallett as he secured his place in Maastricht.
Scotland’s Jim Walker, Ireland’s Steve Lennon and Hampshire-based Richard North also qualified following 11-leg deciders, while Jamie Bain overcame former Lakeside Champion Mark Webster as he progressed.
Cumbria’s Harry Robinson, Somerset’s Ryan Searle and Welsh ace Robert Owen all secured places in the Netherlands, while York left-hander Chris Quantock defeated youngster Callan Rydz and experienced Robbie Green to qualify.
The Dutch Darts Masters will be held from September 1-3 at the MECC in Maastricht.
