Prosecution was a huge eye-catcher last time out and is of major inetrest at 9/4 in the 8.45 at Windsor this evening.
Hughie Morrison’s colt shaped with promise in three quick starts at the back end of 2016 when not knocked about and looking a handicap project.
All those runs came at Kempton and on the second occasion he led until weakening late on to finish sixth of 13 to Chessman over 7f.
That race has thrown-up subsequent winners and Prosecution finsihed a length in front of the eight home Dream Machine who has gone on to score on handicap debut off 67 and 2 1/4 lengths in front of the ninth home Master Archer who was allotted an opening handicap mark of 77 and ran well of it when fourth to Eldritch at Doncaster.
It made an opening mark of 64 for the selection look exploitable and he rab a blinder off it when fourth of 12 at Leicester 14 days ago.
Aftre pulling hard at the rear in the hands of Franny Norton he was never really out into the race until making good late headway under tender handling to be nearest at the finish and beaten just 2 3/4 lengths.
It was a cracking effort given how the race panned out, and one which suggested he was ahead of his makr, and with the in-form Richard Kingscote now taking over in the saddle this looks a golden opportunity for him to open his account.
