Rebecca Romero has shaped as if coming back to form and at 5/1 rates the standout bet on this evening’s card at Bath.

Denis Coakley’s mare is a consistent sort who ran well on numrous occasions to be placed last year before gaining a deserved success over 5f at Salisbury where she beat Asian Trader by 1/2 a length off a mark of 75 in a class 4 contest.

She went on to finish a solid fourth in a class 3 handicap at Newmarket off 82 and also ran well on her final start of 2013 to finish sixth of 13 to New Forest in a class 3 affair at Leicester off the saem mark.

She now gets into this class 4 contest, the same grade as when last successful, off a mark of 77 and that gives her every chance at the weights on the pick of her form.

The seven-year-old also shaped far better than her finishing positioin suggests when 7th of 11 to Pal Of The Cat on her reappearance at Windsor, and caught the eye last time out when a staying on fifth at Newmarket.

That run suggested she was coming to the boil and ready to strike, and she now gets the services of Richard Hughes in the saddle who gets on with her extremely well with her.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 3pts win  Rebecca Romero (5/1 generally available – use BOG firms)
