Manchester United take on Spurs at Old Trafford tonight (8pm KO, Live on Sky Sports) and look bankers at 4/6 to double their points tally for the season.
The reigning champs played some good football in their opening 2-1 win at West Brom, and have a fantastic record againt the Londoners.
Sir Alex Ferguson’s side have not lost any of their last 24 meetings with Spurs in all competitions, and the last time they were beaten was back in 2001 at White Hart Lane.
In fact, it’s a staggering 22 years since Spurs won at the Theatre of Dreams, and many of United’s current crop of defenders weren’t even born then!
Another chilling stat is that they won 18 of their 19 league games at Old Trafford last season, equalling the Premier League record for most points won on home turf.
Hard not to imagine then that Spurs boss Harry Redknapp will not be relishing the trip to Manchester despite his side’s impressive 5-0 thrashing of Hearts in the Europa League last week.
He will be without several big name players tonight, including Luka Modric, Steve Pienaar and Willam Gallas, and you need a full strength squad when going into battle with the Red Devils.
The home side also have their own injury problems with Ferdinand, Vidic, Rafael, Hernandez and Owen on the sidelines.
However such absentees have not stopped them from winning in the past, and they still have a formidable striking force in the shape of Rooney, Nani and Berbatov capable of ripping apart any defence.
All in all, everything points to a comfortable home win, and the 4/6 on offer with Boylesports and Hills is likely to go before kick-off.
Snap it up!
Recommended bet: 10pts win United (4/6 Boylesports, Hills)
