Waiting For Richie looks worth a wager at 8/1 in the finale at York today (5.35).
Tom Tate’s charge was a model of consistency last season and ran a cracker here in June when running on strongly to go down by just a neck to Theydon Grey over 1m 6f.
He went on two gain a deserved success two starts later over 2m at Newcastle when battling on gameyl to beat On Fire by a neck pff a mark of 68.
Waiting For Richie went on to round off the campaign with two solid placed efforts at Newmarket and Nerwcastle off marks of 72 and 73.
He now returns to action off the latter and I think that is exploitable as he looks the type who could progress again this season over 2m.
Waiting For Ritche also ran well first time up last year when third at Doncaster on good-to-firm ground, so can cleatrly go well fresh and handles underfoot conditions.
Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts each-way Waiting For Richie (8/1 generally available – use BOG firms)
