See The Sun has become dangerously well-treated and makes plenty of appeal at 9/1 in the 4.10 at Pontefract today now dropped further in grade.
Tim Easterby’s six-year-old is acourse and distance winner who was last sucessful 14 months ago in a class 2 contest off a mark of 88.
He got put up to 93 for that success and has largely struggled since.
However, he has contested some competitive affairs and the handicapper has cut him plenty of slck.
He is now able to race in this off a career-low rating of just 69 and drops into class 5 company for the first time since gpoing handicapping.
That’s a huge 16lb lower than when last victorious and makes him a big player if bouncing back to anything like his best.
His two latest efforts in a class 3 and class 4 at York, where he showed plenty of speed to lead until two from home in the latter, were also far from devoid of promise.
With ground conditions holding no fears, the stable in good form and Rachel Richardson in the saddle taking off another 3lb with her claim everything looks in place for a huge run.
Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts each-way See The Sun (9/1 Betfred – BOG)
