Shining Romeo looks decent each-way value at 18/1 in the 1.20 at Kempton today now dropped back in trip.
Dennis Quinn’s charge opend his account over the obstacles last April when landing a maiden hurdle at Huntingdon and went on to capture two races on the level.
He was allotted an opening handicap mark of 124 over the obstacles and ran well off it when third at Stratford.
Shining Romeo also shaped better than the 41 lengths he was eventually beat three starts back over 2m 3f at Warwick when third to Lady Karina off 122.
His stamina seemed to be sgtretched and that has also appeared to be the caes in his last twp starts over 2m 2f and 2m 3f.
The drop back to 2m, over which he has won and been placed twice in three starts, is a big plus and this sharp track looks sure to suit.
Shining Romeo has also been dropped another 3lb since his last outing and is now able to race off a reduced rating of 112.
It makes him look on a handy mark now that he has his optimum conditions.
Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts each-way Shining Romeo (18/1 Coral, William Hill – BOG)
