Silent Steps a solid bet at Ayr

Silent Steps shaped as if ahead of her mark when runner-up last tinme out and rates a solid bet at 5/1 in the 5.25 at Ayr today.

The six-year-old mare fell on debut in an Irish point at Dromahane before bolting up in a 3m contest at Liscarroll by 5 lengths from Coillte Lass who went on to win her first three starts after joining trainer Paul Nicholls to be now rated 138.

It makes Silent Steps mark of 106 look very explotable, especially following her improved effort on handicap debut when a 4 1/2 lengtrh second to Timeforwest at Kempton earlier in the month.

Although no match for the easy winner who was completing a quick-fire hat-trick, Silent Steps stuck to the task well and the pair pulled 27 lengths clear of the third home to give the form a strong look in the context of this contest.

If building on that Nicky Henderson’s charge looks weighted to opejm her account under rules.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 3pts win Silent Steps (5/1 Betfred, Paddy Power – BOG)
