Snooker is back down below his last winning mark and makes plenty of appeal at 16/1 in the 4.40 at Sedgefield today.

Rose Dobbin’s gelding has just one success to his name over hurdles and that came over course and distance back in 2012 where he easily beat No Supper by 8 lengths off a mark of 86.

The nine-year-old got put up 14lb for that victory and ran well off his revised mark of 100 when fourth of 12 to War Singer at Kelso.

Snooker also ram well four starts back when a 4 lengtsh fourth of 11 to Endeavour at Kelso, and although he has failed to build on that in three subseqient outings he is able to race in this off just 85 as a result.

That is 1lb lower than when last successful and makes him weighted to go well on the pick of his from.

He also has the services of Craig Nichol in the saddle who is tremendous value for his 3lb claim, and taking that into account Snooker is too well-treated to igtnore and looks well worth an each-way wager at the odds on offer.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts each-way Snooker (16/1 bet365, BetVictor, Stan James – BOG)
