Spookydooky is back down below his last winning mark and makes plenty of appeal at 7/1 in the 3.50 at Cheltenham today.
Jonjo O’Neill’s nine-year-old was last successful in a class 2 contest at Newbury back in December 2015 when scoring by a head off a mark of 134.
Spookydooky is now able to race off a mark of just 130 and comes into the race on the back of two solid efforts.
After finishing third in the Devon National at Exeter he finished a 13 length seventh of 20 to Chase The Spud in the class 1 listed Midlands Grand National at Uttoxeter after making a costly mistake and getting badly hampered four from home.
Spookydooky now drops down into class 3 company, in which he has a 40 per cent strike rate, and another plus is that hails from a yard in terrific form at present.
Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts win Spookydooky (7/1 BetVictor, Betfred – BOG)
