Squeeze My Brain holds major claims on the pick of his form in the 5.20 at Wolverhampton and  is of serious interest at 15/2 now upped in trip.

Ralph Beckett’s charge showed progressive form in three starts as a juvenile and shaped with bags of promise on his seasonal reappearance when third of 12 toi Lyric Ballad on his handicap debut at Sandown over 1m 1f.

He dwelt at the start that day and found himself short of room when making headway two from home before staying on strongly inside the last to be beaten 3 3/4 lengtsh off a mark of 74.

The winner, to whom he was conceding 12lb, went on to follow-up off a mark of 69 before finsihing third when trying to complete the hat-trick off 76, and Jacobella, Equitissa and Mandy The Nag – who finisihed sixth, seventh and eighth respectively – have also come out and won since to give the form a strong look.

The selection was then sent off the 2/1 favourite on his latest start at Newvury over 1m 2f in a class 4 contest on the back of that effort, but after being awkwardly away could never get involved and could only finish 6th of 7 to Danat Al Atheer.

He wore the hood for the first time that day, and connections clearly feel that was not the cause for him running badly as it is back on today.

They are also now fitting him with the tongue-tie for the first time and upping him in trip to 1m 4f which looks sure to suit judge on the way he finsihed off his previous race at Sandown.

The handicapper has also dropped him 1lb to a mark of 73, and he quickly drops back down into class 5 company to boot.

On his run behind Lyric Ballad he looks well-weighted in this, and with Jamie Spencer in the saddle looks good value at the odds on offer to open his account at the sixth time of asking.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 3pts win Squeeze My Brain (15/2 BetVictor – BOG)
