Star Up In The Sky is at the top of her game at present and looks decent value at 4/1 to notch another success in the 2.40 at Wolverhampton today now dropped back in grade.

Kevin Ryan’s filly took advantage of her falling handicap mark when making all and bolting up by 4 1/2 lengths over 6f at Southwell four starts back off arating of 53.

She then bombed out 3 days later when turned outunder a 6lb penalty, but that came too quickly and she then regained winnings ways when despite racing wide she ran on strongly to beat Alpha Tauri by 1/2 a length over 6f at Southwell off a rating of 62.

The daughter of Speightstown then raced with plenty of zest last time out  when a highly creditable fourth of 13 to King Bertie in a much stronger class 4 handicap at Southwell off amark of 67 and will appreciate the drop back down to class 5 compoany this afternoon.

She gets into this off the saem rating (67) and  still remains well-treated on her back form.

She landed a class 3 nursery at Beverley as a juevnile off a mark of 73 and started life off in handicaps last year on 77 as a result of that success.

That suggests that her current mark is more than workable, especially with Kevin Stott in the saddle taking 5lb off her back.

She also ran well here on her third career start when finisning runner-up in a maiden back in 2012, so the return to tyhe polytrack surface should not pose any problems.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 3pts win Star Up In The Sky (4/1 bet365 – BOG)
