League One side Stevenage play host Premiership high-flyers Spurs in the fifth round of the FA Cup today (2pm KO, Live on ITV1) and looks worth a punt at 5/6 with Paddy Power on the +2 handicap.
The home side are currently sitting in sixth in the league after enjoying successive promotions and hold a chance of a third as they are in the last play-off spot in the third tier of English football.
They have preformed well on their own patch against supposedly superior sides in the division - winning four out of the four games they have played at home to sides above them.
In four FA Cup ties this season they haven’t conceded a goal, and Spurs have only scored two goals in their last five FA Cup matches not played at White Hart Lane.
So although Spurs come into this as the red hot 4/11 favourites they are unlikely to have things all their own way.
OK, they are by far the most likely winners, but whether they will be good enough to give Stevenage a two goal start on the handicap is another matter.
I think this will be far close than the odds suggest, and at 5/6 on the +2 handicap the home side look a bit of value.
