Storm handicapped to strike

Posted on by Dave Metcalf

See The Storm has been given a real chance by the handicapper and looks value at 10/1 to take advantage in the 3.20 at Yarmouth.

The gelding gained his first win in a handicap here 12 months ago for Pat Morris when staying on strongly to beat Izzet by a neck over 7f off a mark of 49.

He then went on to be placed twice off a revised rating of 52, and ran a particular good race when chasing home the well treated Dubawi Dancer at this track over 1m 1f.

Now in the care of Lisa williamson, he ran well when fourth at Wolverhampton three starts ago, but then disappointed when returned to that venue and found the going all against him when finishing a disappointing 7th of 9 to Garstang at Musselburgh last time out.

However he is now down to a mark of just 47 as a result and under his ideal conditions it would be no surprise to see him bounce back at a track where he has run his best races.

His handler also had a welcome winner earlier in the week, and at the odds on offer he makes plenty of each-way appeal.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts each-way  See The Storm (10/1 generally available – use BOG firms)
