Crystal Hope looks to have plenty in her favour in the Listed 1m 1f contest at Salisbury today (3.40) and rates a solid bet at 3/1.

Sir Michael Stoute’s three-year-old filly has only had three starts and came good at the sceond time of asking when easily beating Give And Take by three lengths at Sandown back in April.

It was an authorative disaply which suggeseted she needed keeping onside and the form has worked out well with the runner-up having gone on to land a Group 3 Musidora Stakes at York and finish third in a Group 2 in France.

Crystal Hope was sent off the 2/1 favourite for a Listed contest at Newbury on the back of that victory and although beaten seven lengths into third behind Sea Of Class was far from disgraced.

Sea Of Class has gone on to land the Group 1 Irish Oaks and the runner-up Athena has landed the Grade 1 Belmont Oaks in America, so Crystal Hope faced a very stiff task and ran as well as could be expected on just her thid start.

This is easier and she receives a handy 8lb weight-for-age allowance from prveious winner of the race Billesdon Brook and Chain Of Daisies – and 13lb from Promising Run.

Stoute has also won the race four times and Crystal Hope looks to have the right profile to add to that tally.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts win Crystal Hope (3/1 generally available – use BOG firms)
