Sugar Baron looks decent each-way value at 14/1 in the bet365 Gold Cup at at Sandown today (3.35).

He has had just three runs this season and ran a blinder on reappearance when at the rear and seemingly going nowhere four from home before responded well to pressure and finished strongly to go down by just 1/2 a length to What a Moment in a competitive 3m 1f contest at Cheltenham.
Sugar Baron backed that up with a cracking second over course and distance when staying on strongly to be beaten just a neck by Benbens off 135.
He then wasn’t at his best last time out when a well-beaten 14th of 20 at the Cheltenham Festival but the testing conditions were not ideal.
This is liekly to have been his long term target and hsi priven form at the track is a plus.
Thr ground is now in his favour and a mark of 137 looks workable on the pick of his form as it is just 4lb higher than when last successful.
