Swansea can serve it up to Liverpool

Swansea look worth a punt at 6/4 with Paddy Power in the draw/no bet market in their home game against Liverpool tonight (8pm KO, Live on Sky Sports 1).

Michael Laudrup’s side have lost both their home league games this season but come into the game on the back of a confidence boosting 2-0 away win at West Brom.

They have often proved a tough team to beat on their own patch, and despite having lost to Man United and Spurs at the Liberty Stadium this season had the lions share of the play in both those games.

The Swans  have also boosted their squad with the signing of Bony and Alvaro, and have a striker in Michu who is capable of causing problems to any defence.

I also get the feeling that they will be up for this against their old boss Brendan Rodgers who has guided Liverpool to their best start to a season for 19 years with three wins and no goals conceding in the opening games.

Given that start it’s no surprise to see bookmakers make them favourites for this, but they have still not totally convinced me that they can be trusted to deliver when expected.

I was temptted to put up the Swansea to win outright at 13/5, but in what promsies to be a hard fought and low scoring affair based on past encounters the 6/4 on offer in the draw/no bet market looks decent enough value and the safer way to play.
