Wigan fancied to survive trip into cauldron of fire
Swansea fans are unlikely to give a warm reception to Wigan boss Roberto Martinez given that he is returning to the club where he made his name as a manager, but his side are fancied to come away with a share of the spoils(3pm KO).
The home side will be eager to put behind them a 4-0 hammering by Man City, and are a far better side than they showed at Eastlands.
They are capable of playing some very good football and conceded only twice in their last four games of last season.
Wigan will certainly find them no pushover, and didn’t excatly get their season off to the start expected when managing only a 1-1 draw against Norwich.
They still haven’t found a replacement for last saeson’s top striker Charles N’Zogbia, and are currently having to rely on winger Victor Moses to produce the goods on the goalscoring front.
However they have lost just one of their last seven Premier League games, so know what it takes to grind out a result.
That makes the draw worth a bet in what promises to be a low scoring hard fought battle
Recommended bet: 3pts The Draw (5/2 bet365, Victor Chandler)
