Thomas Blossom makes plenty of appeal at i6/1 n the 2.10 at Lingfield today now dropped in grade and partnered by George Baker.

The gelding was in rude health last year when winning three times for trainer Pat Chammings, and in the last of those successes over course and distance came from off the pace to score with more than the head winning margin suggests in a class  5 contest off a mark of 60.

He went on to finish a fine 3/4 length third at Wolverhampton off a revsied markof 68 in a class 4 contest and is now able to in this class 6 affair off 65.

That gives him every chance at the weights on the pick of his form, and he comes into the race having shaped as if needing the outing when fifth at Wolverhampton last month on his first start for Ali Brewer.

That was his firts start after a break and should have blown away the cobwebs and put Thomas Blossom spot on for this, and the booking of Baker looks a big plus for a hold-up horse whose challenge needs to be delivered right.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts win Thomas Blossom (6/1 Coral, Stan James – BOG)
