Hernando Torres shaped as if returning to form last time out and makes plenty of appeal at 8/1 in the 5.05 at Carlisle today.
Mick Easterby’s eight-year-old was a dual scorer last season with his last success coming off a mark of 69 in a class 5 contest at Wolverhampton.
Hernando Torres also ran very well to be third of 14 in a competitive class 4 affair at York off 72, and is now able to race in this class 5 contest off the same mark as when last victorious.
It gives the veteran major claims at the weights and he hinted that his time was near when a solid third in a lady amateur riders contest pver course and distance 16 days ago.
That was his third run back after a 148-day break and he should now be spot on to do himself justice.
Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts each-way Hernando Torres (8/1 generally available – use BOG firms)
