Man United are a top priced 8/11 with Paddy Power to beat Sunderland in the first leg of their Capital One Cup semi-final on Wearside tonight (7.45pm KO, Live on Sky Sports 1).

The competition has effectively become the last chance for the Red Devils to win silverware this season as they are languishing in the league following a run of dismissal results and got kncoked out of the FA Cup by Swansea at the weekend after going down 2-1 at Old Trafford.

David Moyes’ side were very lacklustre in the latter, a trait which has become them this season.

They are no longer the side that teams fear and the players seem to be lacking passion under then new gaffer.

Their home form has become dreadful, but their away form suggests that they should win this.

You you have to go back to their 4-1 thumping at the Etihad Stadium for United’s last away defeatand they have lost only to Man City and Liverpool on their travels anmd that includes three Champions League games.

Another plus is that the squd has been strengthened with the return of Nemanja Vidic, Patrice Evra, David De Gea, Michael Carrick and Wayne Rooney and they should prove too classy for a struggling Sunderland outfit.

In teh first goalscorer market Hernandez, who scored in their defeat against Swansea, looks worth a small each-way wager at 11/2 with Paddy Power.
