W’ell Shake Hands is back down to his last winning mark and looks worth siding with at 6/1 in the 4.15 at Ayr today now eased in grade.

Karl Burke’s charge landed handicaps at Haydock and Newcastle last year, with the last of those successes coming over this afternoon’s 1m 2f trip off a mark of 70 in a class 5 affair.

He was then far from disgraced on his final start of the campaign when fourth in a class 4 contest at Nottingham off 75, but has failed to sparkle in two starts this season in two similar grade affairs.

However, he is now back down to 70 as a result and that gives him every chnace on the pick of his form now dropped back into class 5 company.

The five-year-old has also needed two runs to put him straight before scoring at the third time of asking for the last two seasons, and the yard has a 20% strike rate at the track in the past 12 months.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts win W’ell Shake Hands (6/1 Boylesports, Coral, Paddy Power – BOG)
