Artemis looks well-treated on the pick of her form in the 6.20 at Wolverhampton today and makes plenty of appeal at 8/1.

Conrad Allen’s filly has just one win to her name, with that success coming in a 6f class 6 contest at Kempton back in January.

The three-year-old travelled strongly througout and after cruising into the lead a furlong from home scooted clear to beat Saffire Song by 2 1/2 lengths off a mark of 52.

The daughter of Marju then got beaten only a neck when last of 3 behind The Dandy Yank over 5f at Kempton in a class 5 contest off 58 and followed that up with a solid fourth of 10 to the now 79-rated Don’t Have It Then over 6f off 65 in the same grade.

The latter is strong form, and Artemis also ran well three starts back in a class 5 contest at Lingfield when a 3/4 length runner-up off 56.

She now gets into this class 6 affair off 55, and that makes her look on a handy mark in what is a weak looking 0-55 contest if ready to go after a break of 149 days.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts win Artemis (8/1 bet365, BetVictor, Paddy Power, Sky Bet, William Hill – BOG)
