Eye Of The Storm has become dangerously well-treated and looks worth an each-way punt at 14/1 in the 4.55 at Ascot today.
Amanda Perrett’s seven-year-old was last successful inm the 2015 running of the listed Coral Marathon at Sandown when beating Angel Gabrial by a neck off an official rating of 102.
He has been lightly racec since anmd failed to trouble the judge in eight outings.
However, he didn’t shape too badly on his penultimate outing when sixth of 11 to My Reward in a class 2 handicap at Chester off 95 and is now able to race off 5lb lower.
His current rating of 90 is a career-low and makes him a huge player on the pick of his form.
Eye Of The Storm also now drops down into class 3 company for the first time in his career and that should enable him to be very competitive.
Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts each-way Eye Of The Storm (14/1 generally available – use BOG firms)
