Navajo War Dance has slipped to a career-low mark and worth a wager at 12/1 in the 5.20 at Doncaster today.

Karl Burkes charge has some useful form as a juvenile, inculding when a 1/2 length runner-up to the smart Abdon in a 10-runner maiden at Newbury and third to Stormy Antarctic at the same venu.

He opened his account first time up last season when scoring easily at Ayr by four lengths and went on to finish an excellent 1/2 length second at the same venue in a 10-runner handicap off a mark of 83.

Navajo war Dance was then not at his best in three subsequent starts but did shape well on seasonal reappearance when a 1 3/4 length fourth of 19 to Archippos at Doncaster off 82 in a race which has thrown up some big race winners in the shape of Briardale and Carnageo who finished sixth and eighth respectively.

Altough he has built on that in three starts Navajo War Dance is now able to race off a reduced rating of just 78 as a result.

It makes him a big player on the pick of his form in a race lacking any real sterngth in depth,

Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts each-way Navajo War Dance (12/1 bet365, Sky Bet – BOG)
