Gossiping has become dangerously well-treated and looks worth a punt at 18/1 in the London Mile Handicap at Kempton today (3.15).
Gary Moore’s charge, who has won twoce and been placed once in six starts over course and distance, was really progressive last year when winning five of his 12 starts and rising 30lb in the weights since the first of those successes.
The last two of those victories came at Goodwood off marks of 85 and 88.Gossiping also ran well ran well to finish seventh of 18 to Above The Rest in the Bunbury Cup at Newmarket off 96 and when a staying on never nearer 4 3/4 lengths 10th of 16 to Brilliant Vanguard in this 12 months off 95 where after being dropped in from a wide draw and given far too much to do he finished with running left in him.
He has also posted some solid efforts this season, looking unlucky two starts back when encountering horrendous traffic problems when a fast finishing 2 3/4 length seventh of 18 to Medahim at Goodwood off 90.
Gossping then did too much too soon last time out over CD when a 6 3/4 length eighth of 14 to Honey Man.
He has since been dropped another 3lb and is able to race off an all-weather rating of just 80.
That is a massive 15lb lower than when shaping far better than the result suggests in last year’s renewal of this and makes him a huge player at the weights on the pickc of his form.
