Mont Kiara is back down below his last winning makr and looks worth a wager at 14/1 in the 2.20 at York.

Kevin Ryan’s charge ran a blinder at Newmarket 10 months ago when a 1 3/4 length fifth of 20 to Dancing Star in a hit handicap at Newmarket off 89 and then went one better at the dsame venue when coming from off the pace to get up close home and beat Priceless by a head off a mark of 90.

He got put uop to 95 for that victory and failed to trouble the judge in four outings last season but was far from disgraced on a couple of occasions.

Mount Kiara has shaped as if needing his two runs this season and hinted that he was coming to the boil last time out when fourth to Gunmetal at Newmarket.

The runner-up in that contestr Normandy Barrier has since come out and won a dcenet prize at Ascot and the selection has since been dropped 1lb to 89.

That gives him major claims at the weights on the pick of his form and he should now be spot on to do himself.
