Wenyerreadyfreddie has a porgressive profile and rates a solid bet at 100/30 on handicap debut in the 2.55 at Sandown today.
Nicky Henderson’s charge ran well to make the frame on his first two starts over the obstacles, including when a 9 length second of 14 to Brio Conti and Doncaster.
He challenged on the bridle three form home before being outpeaced late on by a horse that went on to land a competitive handicap at Kempton in fine style off 134 before finishingh fifth to Finian’s Oscar in a Grade 1 at Aintree off an official rating of 145.
Wenyerreadyfreddie went on to open his account in good style at the same venue when beating Blue HGussar by 4 1/2 lengths and the runner-up went on to score in his next two starts to be rated 124.
Those efforts suggest and opening mark of 129 is on the lenient side and the selection looks the type who should have plenty more to offer this season.
