Ghana looks a great bet at the 6/4 on offer with Paddy Power to beat the USA in their game tonight (11pm KO, Live on BBC1).

The sides have met in each of their two previous World Cups, with Ghana winning 2-1 on both occasions.

The Black Stars also scored more goals than any other team in the 2014 African World Cup qualifiers (25), and face a USA outfit who have only kept two clean sheets in their last 23 games at the World Cup.

The USA also lack any cutting edge up front, and I can’t see anything but a win for Ghana.

So who is going to score the opener and fire them to success?

Asamoah Gyan is the most likely candidate, having scored 40 goals in 79 appearances for Ghana.

They include the fastest goal of the 2006 World Cup (after just 68 seconds), and the 6/1 on offer with Paddy Power about him in the first goalscorer market looks too big given his prolific record which has seen him chalked up at 7/2 elsewhere.
