CLINICAL performance by ‘THE SURGEON’ with KO in the FIRST

BRITISH light-heavyweight STAR Ben ‘The Surgeon’ Whittaker dispatched his Argentine OPPO Braian Suarez with just over 40 seconds of the 1st round remaining at Liverpool’s M&S Bank Arena last night LIVE on DAZN.

Whittaker who TOPPED the Matchroom Liverpool Fight Night bill after Scouser Callum Smith had to pull out of his bout injured takes his PRO tally to 11-0-1 after last nights BLISTERING victory.

After getting caught by a BIG RIGHT Suarez got counted out by the ref.

Speaking to broadcaster DAZN after the bout 28yo Whittaker said “Don’t get it twisted, he’s a very good fighter. I was expecting a few rounds but then I wasn’t because of the work with my brother and the work with Andy.

“I’m hitting now. I’m finding my feet – I know when to play and I know when to get him out of there too.”

Matchroom BOSS Eddie Hearn confirmed after the fight that Whittaker will make his US debut in June telling speaking DAZN “We know exactly what we’re doing. Next up he’s going to be where he should be, he’s going to be where all the superstars go and like to walk in front of the bright lights – New York, he’s coming,”

“Jaron Ennis-Xander Zayas, Barclays Center, Brooklyn. You’re going to see the true star of British boxing, Ben Whittaker, make his American debut on June 27.

“Then we’ll come back and headline in Birmingham in a big fight, whether it’s a big domestic fight, a final eliminator for the world championship.

“By the end of that period, I truly believe in 2027 he’ll be ready for every 175 pounder in the world. We’ve finally got somebody in this country who has all the superstar potential, but could go out and beat them all. This young man is very very special.”
