Belfast local hero Mick Conlan suffered a split decision defeat to Yank Kevin Walsh last night at the city’s SSE Arena.
The crowd who supported the IRISH fight legend throughout his career were STUNNED when Walsh was announced the winner by split decision with 2 judges seeing it 96-94, 96-94 for Walsh and the 3rd judge 93-97 for Conlan.
Conlan was TIPPED to win this one in style in front of his home faithful but struggled over the 10 rounds to get those shots off and at times neither fighter was too active in there, but having said that there were very few in attendance from spectators to the DAZN broadcast team to the promoter Kalle Sauerland that thought Conlan had lost the fight.
