Shabaz Masoud beat Peter McGrail over 12 rounds in the Principality last night putting an end to over a year out of the ring and now setting his sights firmly on FEATHERWEIGHT honours in 2026 hopefully facing Nick Ball for the WBA strap.

Scoucer McGrail started the bout STRONG to ensure a close finish at the end of 12 rounds but Stoke’s Masoud DUG DEEP to take the bout on all 3 judges scorecards 116-111, 115-112 and 114-113.
Masoud said after the fight “I’ve got big plans. I’m struggling making Super Bantamweight and I don’t mind moving up for a world title.
“There’s a British world champion at the weight above, Nick Ball. That’s the fight I want. I need to move up.”
UPSET of the night saw Conah Walker STOP Team GB Olympic hero Pat McCormack in the 12th round of their of the all-British clash.
In a BLISTERING finish from Walker, McCromack got knocked through the ropes and STOPPED on his feet after a flurry of punches to suffer his 1st loss in the pro ranks. Walker is now setting his sights firmly on a welterweight world title.
