Nottingham’s Leigh Wood coasted to a unanimous points Win over ARCH RIVAL Josh Warrington to make their encounters 2-0 in front of his hometown fans.
WOOD took the bout 117-111, 119-110 and 119-109 on the judges scorecards at the MOTORPOINT Arena.
In their first fight in Sheffield WOOD came back to WIN by KO in 2023.
“I worked hard for this and my team worked hard,” Wood said after the fight “I’m not going to make a decision tonight but if it is the last one, what a fight to go out on.”
Sandy Ryan became a 2 weight world champion after beating Karla Ramos Zamora on points by majority decision with 2 judges seeing it 97-93 and a third seeing it 95-95.
On the undercard ever popular Doncaster heavyweight Dave Allen got back to winning ways after his defeat to Arslanbek Makhmudov. He dropped Karim Berredjem twice to WIN in the first round.
Bilal Fawaz CLAIMED the British and Commonwealth super-welter titles by majority decision on points BEATING Ishmael Davis over 12 rounds with 1 judge making at 114-114 draw and the other 2 judges seeing 115-114 and 115-113 resectively.
Former UFC STAR Molly McCann continued her PRO journey in the BOXING world in her third outing beating Beata Dudek over 6 rounds on points 60-55.
And last but not least heavyweight prospect Leo Atang KO’D Dan Garber in the first round.
