There are some superb clashes in prospect at Towcester this evening on the second night of the opening round of the Star Sports & Orchestrate Ltd English Greyhound Derby.
One of the most exciting dogs on show for the home team is Nathan Hunt’s Goldcash Warrior. He has looked a competition dog in the making and he has a chance to show that this evening. He can lead up his rivals and once in front, should have too many guns for the field.
On the Irish side of things, Ballymac Deniro could be one of their best chances of taking Derby glory. Liam Dowling’s charge was absolutely stunning in a trial ahead of this competition, tickling the clock on his first ever look at the track. If that is anything to go by, we could be treated to fireworks tonight.
Hopefully the card will open up with a win for Slippery Brian and Graham Holland. He was a length in front of Goldcash Warrior in a trial stake the other week and has looked to find Towcester very much to his liking. There should still be plenty more to come from him.
