The two trial stake wins from Lennies Eddie have been exceptional and he can continue that level of form over into the opening round of the Star Sports & Orchestrate Ltd. English Greyhound Derby at Towcester this evening. The red jacket might not be entirely perfect for him but a repeat of his recent form is going to be more than good enough.
It has been a while since we saw Epic Ace at his absolute best, but when he gets it right, he truly is epic! He won his opening heat in the Irish Derby last year, beating Bockos Diamond in the process. A finalist in the Irish Sprint Cup prior to that, if he gets it right at trap rise, he can lay down a serious marker for the others to try and follow.
Glengar Kane has not been seen in race action since December but he finished off his 2025 campaign by breaking the track record at Enniscorthy in an unraced competition. That marked him down as a serious dog to follow in 2026, and one who could go all the way in this competition. Is entitled to come on for whatever he does tonight, but should still be too good.
