Mission Impossible has a good record at Newcastle and looks worth an each-way wager at 20/1 in the 5.10 there today having slipped to a handy mark.

Tracy Waggott’s 10-year-old is a four time winner at the venue and twoof those successes have come over this afternoon’s 6f trip.

In the last of those 12 months ago the gelding kept on well to score by a neck off a mark of 63.

Mission Impossible is now able to race off just 1lb higher, and that gives him every chance from a handicapping perpsective.

He is also entitled to come on significantly for his recent outing following 283 days on the sidelines and has often needed a run to put him straight in the past.

Mission Impossible is also versatile ground wise, and with  Paddy Mathers in the saddle everything looks in place for a big run.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts ecah-way Mission Impossible (20/1 bet365, Coral, William Hill – BOG)
