Bishop Wulstan has been given a big chnace by the handicapper and makes plenty of appeal at 10/1 in the 1.05 at Towcester today.
The gelding was a dual winner in 2014/2015 when traiend by Harru Whittington, and in the last of those successes on soft ground at Newbury beat Eminent Poet by 2 lengths.
He now meets that rival, who is the red-hot favourite for this, on 1b better terms and having been rated as high as 129 is able to race off a career-low mark of just 108.
That gives the five-year-old, who is now in the care of Peter Bowen, a big shout at the weights.
Bishop Wulstan also comes into the race on the back on an improved effort when third in a class 3 contset at Ffos Las, and now drops back down into class 4 company.
The ground will also hold no fears, and he loosk way overpriced compared to the odds of Eminent Poet and well worth an each-way wager.
Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts each-way Bishop Wulstan (10/1 generally available – use BOG firms)
