Annabel Giles became the first tobe booted out of the I’m A Celebrity jungle last night, and as she left the camp promptly launched an attack on former Miss Universe Amy Willerton for not pulling her weight.
Hosts Ant and Dec made viewers wait until the end of the show to find out who would be leaving, after the celebrities had tackled a group bushtucker trial, ‘Critter Crates’.
The former TV presenter lost out in the vote-off to Alonso and told the hosts she felt like “the most unpopular girl at school… and maybe I am”.
She had had clashed with campmate Amy on numerous occasions during her time in the jungle, amnd was quick to criticise her further as she exited the reality show..
The 54-year-old said there were signs that it was not a level playing field, and the model carried a massive handbag which other contestants suspected contained cosmetics and other items they were not supposed to have.
“This is just an allegation and, you know, I apologise, and I will to her face, if I’m wrong,” she told Ant and Dec.
When asked why there had been tension between the pair she said: “I think, because I’m onto her.”
“She did not really do anything around the camp, she added. “I tried to get her to do the washing up one night, because she doesn’t really do anything around the camp, so I tried to get her involved, and she took high offence.
“We’re all of the same feeling, we’re just concerned that perhaps you out here don’t know. So I’ve decided to sacrifice myself on the altar of truth, actually, and integrity.”
Reality TV star Joey Essex and Westlife’s Kian Egan remain the firm favourites to be crowned jungle king after they were chosen by the public, along with Amy, to act as camp saviours and award immunity to certain campmates.
The three celebrities opted to save Strictly Come Dancing professional Vincent Simone, fashion designer David Emmanuel, Olympic swimmer Rebecca Adlington and Laila from the public vote.
Chat show host Matthew Wright won immunity by being the first celebrity to unlock himself from a crate of bugs in the earlier bushtucker trial.
