Comedian Jim Davidson wins Celebrity Big Brother

Comedian Jim Davidson was last night crowned the  winner of Celebrity Big Brother 2014, beating N-Dubz star Dappy in the public vote.

His success came just a year after he faced police allegations in relation to Operation Yewtree which eventually saw him cleared of all accusations.

Speaking to Emma Willis after he was announced the winner of the Channel 5 reality show, the former gameshow host said he was “slightly damaged” because of the experience bit now felt vindicated because of the public’s backing.

He said: “It’s overwhelming. All the people cheering, especially as I’ve been nominated more times than Gone With The Wind. I got saved by these people and the people at home.

“All you have got to do is be truthful, and truth will conquer all.”

Dappy was eqzually delighted in his runner-up spot behind Jim.

He said: “Never in a million years did I think I’d come second. I’m just a bit shy to be among all these different species, all I know is chickpeas and tinned tomatoes!

“Me coming into this house has helped me to separate Costas from Dappy.”

When asked about his thoughts on Jim, he added: “He taught me so much in the house, I’ll call him dad for the rest of my life.”
